The voices of millions of Americans, from all parties and every point on the political spectrum, have been heard tonight. The appointment of a special counsel to oversee the investigation of Russia’s interference in our election and possible connections between the Trump campaign and the Russian government is a positive, necessary first step in response to their demands for an independent investigation.

The unprecedented and obscenely high amount of political money being raised and spent in Wisconsin Supreme Court elections is a fairly new and horrific development in our state. It wasn’t always this way here and it cannot and should not continue. 

Wisconsin voters of all political views and stripes would be best served by Meagan Wolfe continuing in her current role. The integrity of the 2024 election and its adherence to the law and to fairness and democracy just might depend on it.
