Common Cause to host third annual anti-gerrymandering conference
More than 100 thought leaders, policy makers, activists and attorneys who want to end partisan gerrymandering will gather in North Carolina Jan. 25-26 for the annual مؤتمر العقل والإصلاح وإعادة تقسيم الدوائر الانتخابية cohosted by Duke University’s Center for Political Leadership, Innovation, and Service and Sanford School of Public Policy, in collaboration with Common Cause.
The two-day conference will feature more than a dozen presentations and panel discussions led by national and local leaders in redistricting on topics ranging from a “state of the nation” on gerrymandering, an overview of upcoming Supreme Court litigation, a discussion of the 2020 Census, lessons learned from state-based activism and how to build a case against partisan gerrymandering.

Benisek; Justin Levitt of Loyola Law School; Sam Wang of the Princeton Gerrymandering Project; Curtis Hubbard of Fair Maps Colorado; Katie Fahey of Voters Not Politicians; Vince Barabba, the former head of the U.S. Census Bureau and current member of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission; Kareem Crayton of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice; Celina Stewart of League of Women Voters; Arturo Vargas of NALEO; and كاثاي فينج, director of redistricting at Common Cause and architect of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission.
