Dave Smith is a social entrepreneur, coalition builder, convener, systems thinker and cross-sector leader.

Dave is the CEO of X Sector Labs where he advises executives from business, government, and nonprofits to realize greater impact through the power of courage, connection, and community.

Previously, he served as managing director of the Presidio Institute, helping changemakers view leadership through a new lens and solve problems through cross-sector collaboration, and the executive director of the National Conference on Citizenship, a Congressionally-chartered nonprofit dedicated to strengthening civic life in America.

In 2004, David shared office space with Common Cause when he founded and directed Mobilize.org, a national organization that worked with over 200,000 young adults to improve democracy by investing in millennial-led solutions.
