Two Hours with Putin vs. 30 Minutes on Election Security

In a tale of two meetings, President Trump met recently with Vladimir Putin alone for two hours with no one but a translator present. It was the second one-on-one meeting and still has provided no read-out of the meeting to his top national security advisors.
By contrast, Trump met with those top national security advisors on Friday for thirty minutes about protecting our elections from Russian interference. Whose side is he on?
Thirty minutes would barely be long enough for the assembled agency heads to even get their heads wrapped around reports of attempted Russian attacks on Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), let alone provide updates on a “whole government response” to combat Russian interference in our elections. If such a plan even existed.
We can be certain of one thing; assuming Trump accepts Putin’s invitation to Moscow, that meeting will last more than 30 minutes. And Americans should still be asking, whose side is Trump on?
