Nothing should stand between eligible voters and the ballot box. That’s why Common Cause is partnering with the Election Protection coalition to provide critical support to voters through 11 language hotlines and field programs in 30 states.

For the past 19 years, the Election Protection program, the nation’s largest and longest-running voter protection program, has worked to ensure that all eligible voters have access to the ballot box. Convened by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the coalition is made up of more than 200 organizations nationwide and more than 100 law firms.

For the 2020 Primary Election, trained nonpartisan volunteers will answer questions through Super Tuesday, March 3, 2020. During the 2016 election cycle, nearly 118,000 voters received assistance through the nationwide hotline.

Election Protection stands ready to help voters who have questions or encounter barriers when voting. Voters are encouraged to call the national nonpartisan election protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE. California voters can also find out more information at https://866ourvote.org/state/california/.
