California Common Cause will co-host community meetings in Inglewood, North Hollywood, Pasadena, Redondo Beach, Sherman Oaks and West Los Angeles to give residents the opportunity to decide where they want to vote in 2020 when community-oriented vote centers replace neighborhood polling places. The meetings are part of a series of 33 community meetings across the county sponsored by Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean Logan’s office.

In March 2020, Los Angeles County will implement a new voting model utilizing vote centers in compliance with the California Voter’s Choice Act passed in 2016. Vote centers will offer an 11-day voting period in convenient and accessible vote center locations within Los Angeles County. Voters who live anywhere in Los Angeles County will be able to vote at any site within the county that is most convenient to them.

Every community meeting will provide an overview of the Voting Solutions for All People voting experience, and will allow community members to ask questions about vote center locations as well as provide input on the most convenient — and inconvenient places — to vote.
