We hope you will join us on Wednesday, September 25th for our annual Champions for Democracy Awards and Reception. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we are so excited to welcome you to Ironton Distillery for food, fun, and a night of celebrating several of Colorado’s champions for Democracy.

Meet our keynote speaker, Common Cause’s new President!

Common Cause’s new President, Virginia Kase Solomón, is joining us from DC to meet our Colorado membership and share about the organization’s work to protect democracy in 2024 and beyond. We are thrilled to welcome Virginia to Denver!

Meet Colorado Common Cause’s 2024 Champions for Democracy:

Senator Lisa Cutter will be honored for her work during the 2024 Legislative Session to defend public libraries and combat misinformation and disinformation.

Donald Sherman from Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington and Martha Tierney, Chair of the Common Cause National Governing Board will be honored for their work on the landmark lawsuit to disqualify former President Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot for his role in leading the January 6, 2021 insurrection to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Citizens Project, led by Mike Williams, will be given the Judith Singleton Community in Action Award for their work to make city elections in Colorado Springs more accessible for all, and for their year-round work to engage and educate voters in El Paso County.
