Trump Disqualified from 2024 Ballot; Will Likely Be Appealed to SCOTUS

On December 19, 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump disqualified himself from presidential candidacy by leading a violent insurrection against the U.S. on January 6, 2021.

On December 19, 2023, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that former President Donald Trump disqualified himself from presidential candidacy by leading a violent insurrection against the U.S. on January 6, 2021.

The case is headed to the U.S. Supreme Court for an ultimate ruling, which will have broad reaching impacts for Trump’s candidacy beyond Colorado.
