Democracy Reform Groups File Amicus Brief in Colorado Campaign Finance Case

Colorado Common Cause, Common Cause, and the Campaign Legal Center yesterday filed an amicus brief in a lawsuit that threatens the state’s campaign finance laws for the 2022 election. The case, Lopez v. Griswold, is being heard by the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

We Heart Voting: Valentine’s Day at the Capitol

Colorado Common Cause loves our state’s voters, so it makes sense that we spent most of Valentine’s Day at the Capitol working to make voting safer and standing up against bad faith voting bills! On February 14th the House State, Civic, Military, and Veterans Affairs Committee heard six bills related to elections and voting. We were there to support one and oppose three of these bills.

More Than 250 Activists Rally for Voting Rights During MLB-All Star Weekend in New Host City

Yesterday, more than 250 pro-democracy activists, led by Common Cause Colorado, rallied during the MLB All-Star Game festivities in support of The For The People Act. After the MLB relocated the 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta, Georgia to Denver, Colorado, local pro-democracy organizations used the opportunity to celebrate Colorado’s voting laws and urge support for The For The People Act to set national standards for voting rights and election administration.
