Servicio de Noticias Públicas: Proyecto de ley pretende restablecer el derecho al voto de los encarcelados en Alabama, EE.UU.
Keisha Morris Desir, gerente de proyectos de justicia y encarcelamiento masivo de Common Cause, dijo que la Ley de Democracia Inclusiva es la primera de su tipo que incluye el derecho al voto para las personas incluso si todavía están tras las rejas.
"Este es el primer proyecto de ley realmente amplio que permitiría a todos, incluidos aquellos que están actualmente encarcelados, en libertad condicional y en libertad vigilada, votar en una elección federal", explicó Desir.
