Firma la petición: promulgar el registro automático de votantes en todo el país
El Registro Automático de Votantes (AVR, por sus siglas en inglés) ayudaría a garantizar que todos los estadounidenses que reúnen los requisitos tengan voz en nuestra democracia, ahorraría dinero a los estados y haría que los padrones electorales fueran más precisos y seguros. Por eso, el AVR debería implementarse en todos y cada uno de los estados para modernizar nuestro anticuado sistema de registro de votantes.
Voter registration systems in many states are outdated. And countless otherwise eligible Americans don’t show up to vote each year because they never got registered.
We can do better — by replacing our cumbersome, outdated voter registration process with Automatic Voter Registration (AVR).
By automatically registering eligible citizens to vote when they interact with the DMV or other government agencies, we can dramatically improve our electoral process.
This reform will make our election systems much safer, less expensive, and more accessible. Plus, it’d significantly increase the number of eligible voters who participate in our democracy — ensuring election results more accurately reflect what the people want.
It’s time to take this groundbreaking solution nationwide.
