New Poll: Near Majority of Registered Voters Want to Fire Elon Musk
A new YouGov poll commissioned by Common Cause shows a near-majority of registered voters would support President Donald Trump firing Elon Musk today from his role as special advisor.

Forty-nine percent of registered voters would support President Donald Trump firing Elon Musk today from his role as special advisor. This comes as no surprise when a majority of registered voters are also concerned with Musk’s access to our personal data, and the billions that his companies have received in federal contracts.

Additionally, the vast majority of Democratic voters (75%) believe that their party is doing too little to oppose the efforts of Elon Musk and DOGE.

Sixty-one percent of registered voters support guardrails on government funding to ensure that the Trump administration spends money that has already been appropriated by Congress, highlighting the need for greater accountability in this administration.
