Election Protection Hotline Open To Assist Alabamians
If you live in Alabama or have friends and/or relatives there, please take a minute to copy this phone number and share it today with any Alabamian who is registered to vote:
1-866-OURVOTE.
That’s the Election Protection Hotline and it’s up and running today for any Alabama voter who has questions about voting or encounters difficulty in trying to cast a ballot in the special U.S. Senate election between Democrat Doug Jones and Republican Roy Moore.
The hotline is staffed by volunteer attorneys who are experienced in solving voting issues and ensuring that the election is secure and accessible.
There’s also a treasure trove of voting information on the Election Protection website, 866OURVOTE.org. Among other things, voters can locate their voting location and get information about the identification they will need to obtain a ballot.
Alabama is split between the Eastern and Central Time Zones. The polls are open from 7.a.m. until 7 p.m. in both zones but no returns are expected until all the polls are closed.
