Meet Bryan…

Bryan manages Common Cause North Carolina’s multimedia production, social-media projects and press outreach.

Prior to joining Common Cause NC in January of 2015, Bryan worked for 10 years with the NC Center for Voter Education. He has a bachelor’s degree in communication and Spanish from Western Carolina University and an associate degree in Web technologies from Wake Technical Community College.

US Supreme Court Ruling Against NC Racial Gerrymandering: CCNC Statement

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled that North Carolina lawmakers unconstitutionally gerrymandered two of the state's congressional districts along racial lines. The decision affirms a lower court ruling in 2015 that ordered the districts to be redrawn.

On Monday, the US Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal of a lower court ruling that struck down North Carolina's sweeping restrictions on voting access, which included implementation of a voter ID requirement, cuts to early voting and elimination of same-day voter registration.
