KAMEULA, HI – On Saturday January 11, 2020 the League of Women Voters of Hawai‘i County and Common Cause Hawai‘i will host a public panel discussion regarding how “The Big Island’s Political Parties Are Preparing for the 2020 Elections”, with leaders of the state’s political parties. Senior representatives of the Democratic, Green, Libertarian, and Republican parties will discuss their preparations for the upcoming primary and general elections and the recently enacted statewide Vote by Mail process.
After opening presentations, the panelists will field questions from moderators and the audience. The panelists will include Heather Kimball, Chair of the Hawai‘i County Democratic Party, Jeffrey Kalani Coakley, Chair of the West Hawai‘i Republican Party, Budd Dickinson, Co-Chair of the Green Party of Hawai‘i, and Tracy Ryan, Chair of the Libertarian Party. The forum will be co-moderated by Sandy Ma, Executive Director of Common Cause Hawai‘i and Donna Oba, Vice President of the League of Women Voters of Hawai‘i.
The event will take place at Waimea Middle School in Kamuela and light refreshments will be served.
