Không ai được đứng trên luật pháp Các cuộc biểu tình ở Hawaii sẽ yêu cầu luận tội Trump
HONOLULU — On December 17, 2019, the Tuesday night before the U.S. House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for his high crimes and misdemeanors, activists will gather at several locations throughout Hawaii as part of the nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” rallies. These events will be part of the hundreds of actions occurring nationwide in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Nationwide more than 100,000 people have already RSVP’ed to attend.
The mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds President Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections. Protestors will demand that the House of Representatives, including Hawaii Representative and democratic presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard and Representative Ed Case, fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Trump. Protestors will also call for the Senate to remove Trump from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one—including the president in the White House—is above the law.
Activists will use #NotAboveTheLaw to engage communities on social media. Information about these and additional events can be found at Impeach.org.

STATEMENT BY SANDY MA, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF COMMON CAUSE HAWAII:
“Common Cause and its state chapter Common Cause Hawaii have a proud tradition of nearly 50 years of fighting to protect our democracy and uphold the rule of law. As a nonpartisan organization, we know calling for President Trump’s impeachment and removal is an act of patriotism not an act of partisanship.”
“We are proud to stand with our partners Refuse Fascism Hawaii and Indivisible Hawaii to say that we will not normalize hatred, racism, and xenophobia; Trump must be impeached and removed from office. We thank our neighbor island partners — Kau Voice and MoveOn.org — in supporting impeachment.”
Members of the media covering the events should contact Sandy Ma, Executive Director of Common Cause Hawaii, at sma@commoncause.org for interviews.
