On National Voter Registration Day, Common Cause Illinois is encouraging voters to check their registrations.
Voters who are not sure if they are registered can check their registration here.
Eligible voters who are not registered have options:
Common Cause Illinois is part of the largest nonpartisan election protection program, which runs the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline and protectthevote.net website. If you have issues registering to vote or voting early, call or text the hotline to connect with a nonpartisan, trained expert.
The following hotline numbers are active for voters to call or text in the following languages:
ENGLISH: 866-OUR-VOTE 866-687-8683
SPANISH: 888-VE-Y-VOTA 888-839-8682
ASIAN LANGUAGES: 888-API-VOTE 888-274-8683
ARABIC: 844-YALLA-US 844-925-5287
“Voters have a lot of convenient options in Illinois, but it is still up to each of us to make sure we take the steps necessary to register and make a plan to vote. If you run into problems, call or text 866-OUR-VOTE. There are too many important elections and ballot questions this year for you to not exercise your voice by voting,” said Elizabeth Grossman, Executive Director of Common Cause Illinois.
