As Election Day 2024 nears, Common Cause Illinois is encouraging voters who need assistance to contact the nonpartisan Election Protection hotline to make sure their vote counts this year.

The following hotline numbers are active to call or text in the following languages:

SPANISH: 888-VE-Y-VOTA 888-839-8682 

ASIAN LANGUAGES: 888-API-VOTE 888-274-8683 

ARABIC: 844-YALLA-US 844-925-5287 

Common Cause Illinois, along with our partners the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and the League of Women Voters of Chicago and the League of Women Voters of Illinois, is part of the largest nonpartisan election help program designed to assist voters who have questions or run into any challenges when casting a ballot. Voters who need help finding out how to register to vote or their right polling location, or any other voting issues, can call or text, 866-OUR-VOTE, a toll-free hotline with trained nonpartisan volunteers ready to help. 

Early voting ends Monday, November 4. All absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday November 5.

“If you have any questions, concerns, or problems voting anywhere in Illinois, call or text 866-OUR-VOTE to receive nonpartisan assistance. There is too much on the line to remain silent by not voting,” said Elizabeth Grossman, Executive Director of Common Cause Illinois.
