INDIANAPOLIS — Common Cause Indiana reminds new voters that they have until 5 p.m. on Monday, April 3, to submit their voter registration forms in-person, online or by mail in time for the May 2 municipal primary election across the states. In order for the mail-in application to be accepted, it must be postmarked by Monday.

Additionally, Hoosiers should also double-check their voter registration in order to update or correct any appropriate information, said Julia Vaughn, Common Cause Indiana’s executive director.

“Voting is crucial in order to make sure every eligible citizen has an equal voice in how their local government is run, as well as to guarantee fair, equitable, and representative elections,” Vaughn said.  “Every Hoosier should encourage their friends, family, and community to spend a few minutes ensuring their right to vote is intact and ready for May 2 by registering to vote.”

Hoosiers can register to vote online and make any needed changes to existing voter registrations at https://indianavoters.in.gov/.
