데이비드 밴스는 Common Cause의 국가 미디어 전략가입니다. 그는 국가 및 주 차원의 직원과 협력하여 미디어를 생성하여 목소리를 확대하고 국가 조직과 35개 주 사무소의 민주주의 개혁 의제를 전략적으로 발전시킵니다.

데이비드는 2016년 Common Cause에 합류하기 전 10년 동안 Campaign Legal Center에서 커뮤니케이션 및 연구 책임자로 일하면서 선거 자금, 투표권, 정부 윤리 문제를 다루었습니다. 그곳에서 일하는 동안 이 조직의 미디어 프로필은 기하급수적으로 성장했고 2014년에는 창의적이고 효과적인 기관에 대한 MacArthur Award를 수상했습니다.

Today a judge in Florida denied Rick Scott’s senatorial campaign’s request to prevent timely-cast ballots from being counted in Broward County. Election Protection discovered Facebook and Twitter posts doxxing south Florida election officials. The posts target Brenda Snipes, the Supervisor of Elections of Broward County, and Susan Bucher, the Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County. Both are women of color. Tonight, in hundreds of cities and towns across the nation, hundreds of thousands of Americans took to the streets in protest to defend Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russia’s attacks on the 2016 presidential race. Protesters demanded that the investigation proceed without interference and stressed that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker immediately recuse himself from overseeing the investigation in light of his own conflicts of interest.
