Hello, ang pangalan ko ay Isabel Malizia. Taga Silver ako tagsibol, Maryland and I am a rising senior at Hood College studying Political Science with a Pre-Law Track. I am a Research and Policy Intern here with Common Cause Maryland. As an aspiring lawyer focusing on public policy, I am excited to be a part of Common Cause to help advocate for fair election practices to help create a more equitable system. This summer, I will be working with the Research and Policy department to help research/ advocate for public funding in elections, disability/ language access on ballots, and greater accessibility to bridge the gap between politicians and the general public. My goal through the work is to learn more about advocacy and what goes on behind the scenes of coalition building and to develop great mentor-mentee relationships with our staff.
