Every Vote Matters. Make Sure You Are Registered to Vote in 2024

Common Cause Michigan wants to remind voters that their vote is their voice and to ensure that they are registered to vote for this year’s election.

The deadline to register by mail or online and be eligible to vote for the November election is October 21. While in-person voter registration is possible up all the way up to election day, Common Cause Michigan is encouraging early registration to help alleviate potentially long waits.

Early voting must begin on October 26 (some locations may already have early voting available). Anyone having issues registering to vote or casting a ballot is encouraged to call or text the nonpartisan 866-OUR-VOTE hotline to have their issues resolved by an expert.

The following numbers are active in the following languages:

ENGLISH 866-OUR-VOTE 866-687-8683

SPANISH/ENGLISH 888-VE-Y-VOTA 888-839-8682

ASIAN LANGUAGES/ENGLISH 888-API-VOTE 888-274-8683

ARABIC/ENGLISH 844-YALLA-US 844-925-5287

“The best way to hold power accountable is to vote your values, which is why Common Cause Michigan is encouraging everyone to check their voter registration and make a plan to vote early this election. If you run into problems, call or text 866-OUR-VOTE.  Our election workers and volunteers who work tirelessly to help make our democracy run smoothly are true democracy champions,” said Quentin Turner, Executive Director of Common Cause Michigan
