Với dữ liệu phân bổ của cuộc điều tra dân số được công bố, cử tri Minnesota yêu cầu đại diện công bằng và quá trình phân chia lại khu vực bầu cử minh bạch
Today, the U.S. Census Bureau released apportionment data from the 2020 Census that determines how seats in the U.S. House of Representatives are divided among the states. According to the new 2020 Census data, Minnesota’s allotment of 8 congressional districts remains unchanged from the 2010 census.
“Despite unprecedented challenges, including a global pandemic, disinformation, and political interference, Minnesotans came together to be counted in the 2020 Census,” Annastacia Belladonna-Carrera, giám đốc điều hành của Common Cause Minnesota cho biết. “Along with our partners, we’ve worked hard to ensure every Minnesotan participated in and was counted in our census, particularly communities that have been traditionally disenfranchised and excluded. While the apportionment data released today is not the same as the redistricting data that will be released in a few months, Common Cause Minnesota is committed to working with every lawmaker, community, and voter to make sure our upcoming redistricting process is fair and transparent.”
