Press Release
2022 Midterm Election is TOMORROW
Here’s How Nebraskans Can Prepare Themselves
LINCOLN, NE — Nebraska voters have until Tuesday, Nov. 8 to make their voices heard in the 2022 midterm election. Voters can cast a ballot in-person or by mail.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. Absentee and mail-in ballots must also be returned tomorrow. If you’re unsure of whether your ballot will be received by that time, Common Cause Nebraska recommends voters submit it in-person. Voters will be able to turn them in at their county election official’s office or in a secure drop box provided by their clerk.
“Time and time again, Nebraskans head to the ballot box to make our voices heard,” said Gavin Geis, Common Cause Nebraska’s executive director. “Early, absentee, and mail-in voting improves access for voters who are unable to make it to the polls on Election Day and guarantees every eligible voice is counted.”
Nebraskans who will be voting on Election Day can find their local polling place here. Voters currently do not need a form of ID to vote.
Common Cause Nebraska also reminds voters to use the nonpartisan Election Protection hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE, if they have any questions or encounter any challenges with casting a ballot on or before Election Day.
“Nebraskans have a plethora of choices about how to cast their ballots,” Geis said. “Whether it be by mail, early in-person or in-person on election day, voters have the opportunity to choose who is there to represent them locally, in Lincoln and in Washington, D.C.”
