Common Cause Nebraska Reminds Public Election Day Is Not Results Day
As Election Day 2024 arrives, Common Cause Nebraska is encouraging the press, candidates, elected officials, and the public that Election Day is not “Results Day.”
“Our media does a great job covering elections and letting voters know about campaigns. But
what matters most is making sure every voter’s ballot is counted accurately and that sometimes takes more time. It’s important to remember that projections or running vote tallies are not official results. Every voter deserves to have their voice heard and we will learn the winners of all races when the election is certified,” said Gavin Geis, Executive Director of Common Cause Nebraska.
