Early voting begins October 17 at convenience centers!

Voting convenience centers are now open around the state! To find the polling locations near you, enter your information on this page. Early voting is available now through Saturday, October 31, but hours of operation vary by site and county.

During early voting, New Mexicans will be able to register to vote and cast their ballots on the same day. But be sure to vote by October 31 — Voters who arrive on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, will need to already be registered. Learn more about same-day registration and what you’ll need to bring with you to the polls here.

You may also return your absentee ballot at any early voting location, or drop box. Find a list of ways to return your ballot here. Be sure to follow all the instructions! Use a black pen or marker. Place your completed ballot in the inner envelope and seal it. Then place the inner envelope in the outer envelope and sign your name and include the last four digits of your social security number under the flap before sealing it.

If you would like to request an absentee ballot, the deadline to apply is October 20. Be sure that if you’ll be mailing back your ballot, get it in the mail on or before October 27. In order to be counted, all ballots must be received no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.

If you have any questions or problems at the polls, please call us at 866-Our-Vote or in Spanish, 888-Ve-Y-Vota.

We hope you’ll make your plan to vote and encourage your friends and family to get out and vote, too!

Happy October voting!
