SB 180, sponsored by Sen. Katy Duhigg, Sen. Leo Jaramillo and Rep. Gail Chasey, will result in more efficient and secure elections according to Common Cause New Mexico. The bill was passed by the NM House today and is headed to the Governor.

The election administration clean-up bill supported by the NM Secretary of State will help make our elections more accessible, efficient and secure.

Improving access to the ballot for Native Americans and persons who were formerly incarcerated are among the key provisions.
