Shaw University students march to the polls in Raleigh

Led by Common Cause NC Democracy Fellow Biance’ Wilburn and joined by members of the Raleigh chapter of Links, students from Shaw University on Tuesday walked from campus to an early voting location at Chavis Community Center to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

“Making your voice heard really does matter living in a democracy,” Wilburn said. “Having control over who governs you is vital.”

Early voting runs now through Nov. 3, during which time voters can cast a ballot at any early voting location in their county.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.

North Carolina residents can find information on voting and meet candidates on their ballot at NCVoterGuide.org, a free public service from the nonpartisan Common Cause North Carolina.
