Meet Vashti…

Vashti joined Common Cause in September of 2018, and since then she has been working with HBCU students in North Carolina overseeing the HBCU Student Action Alliance. This program focuses on strengthening North Carolina’s democracy by activating, training, supporting, and uniting the next generation of civic leaders at North Carolina’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Before joining Common Cause NC Staff Vashti, worked at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies and on Capitol Hill. She is a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and a former Common Cause Democracy fellow.
