Ohioans Can Call Voting Support Hotline: 866-OUR-VOTE

Common Cause Ohio reminds Ohioans that tomorrow, November 7, is Election Day, and nonpartisan voting support is available through Ohio’s Election Protection Hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE.

COLUMBUS, OH — Common Cause Ohio reminds Ohioans that tomorrow, November 7, is Election Day, and nonpartisan voting support is available through Ohio’s Election Protection Hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE.

A team of trained, nonpartisan volunteers will be available all day to answer voter questions and offer resources if voters encounter challenges when casting a ballot. Voters can call or text the hotline to connect with volunteers standing by to help.

Election Protection services are available in multiple languages:

866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) – English

888-VE-Y-VOTA (888-839-8682) – Spanish

844-YALLA-US (844-925-5287) – Arabic

888-API-VOTE (888-274-8683) – Bengali, Cantonese, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, Urdu and Vietnamese

“Ohio’s Election Protection team works to ensure that every eligible voter can cast a ballot on Election Day,” said Catherine Turcer, Common Cause Ohio’s executive director. “With so many recent changes to voting laws, including in-person voters being required to provide valid, unexpired photo ID. Ohio voters need trusted resources and a quick response. That’s why we encourage all voters to call our nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline (866-OUR-VOTE) if they have questions or run into problems casting a ballot.”

Every election year, the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition works to recruit, train, and deploy hundreds of Election Protection volunteers across Ohio. These volunteer poll monitors serve as voters’ first line of defense against confusing voting rules, misinformation, and possible problems at the polls.

“Election Day is a great day to celebrate our democracy,” Turcer said. “And there’s no better way to celebrate our freedoms than by protecting the voter experience at the ballot box.”
