Voter Rights Advocates Reiterate Support for HR1 after LaRose Issues Statement
When Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose spoke out against HR1, the For The People Act, the Ohio Voter Rights Coalition issued a statement reiterating their support for this critically important legislation to shore up our democracy.

The Ohio Voter Rights Coalition (OVRC) issued a statement today in support of H.R.1 after Ohio’s Secretary of State called on Congress to “reject HR 1, a dangerous, sweeping federal takeover of elections.”
H.R.1 is in no way a federal takeover of elections. It sets baseline standards for elections to protect voters and strengthen election security. It also addresses the influence of money in politics, and ethical standards for government. Read more about the bill and how to support it.
