Stopping Political Violence

Violence has no place in our democracy, period. Common Cause is committed to solving our differences peacefully through the political process—not through stoking hate and intimidation.

To address the record-breaking levels of threats, harassment, and violence targeted at voters, elected officials, elections officials, and elections processes, Common Cause is working to effectively prevent and respond to political violence at the state and national level.

Our overarching goal is to develop and implement strategies to respond to and mitigate the impact and prevalence of political violence around our elections, respond effectively to instances of political violence; and increase public trust in elections and elections workers. We prioritize supporting work at the state level through our state offices and broad network of election protection partners.

Your financial support helps us make an impact by holding power accountable and strengthening democracy.
