On Monday, March 4, The Ohio Fair Courts Alliance and Ohio Families Unite for Political Action hosted a virtual forum with Judge Lisa Forbes and Judge Terri Jamison, the only candidates for justice in a contested election. The online forum was moderated by Catherine Turcer, Executive Director of Common Cause Ohio and sponsored by Common Cause Ohio, Equality Ohio, Pro-Choice Ohio, Campus Vote Project, Faith in Public Life and the Ohio Environmental Council.

Voting Reminders

Ohio has a semi-open primary — Ohio voters do not have to register with a party to participate in the primary. Voters only affiliate with a political party when they select its ballot during a primary election. That means voters may choose which ballot they want on election day.

Early vote is underway at county Boards of Elections for the March 19 Election (see schedule of hours).

Here are some important dates:

  • March 12: Last day to request an absentee ballot (but don’t wait!)
  • March 18: Deadline to postmark absentee ballot. NO EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING
  • March 19: Election Day – polls open 6:30am-7:30pm

And remember to vote on or before March 19! You can vote in-person or request an absentee ballot to vote by mail (by March 12).

Visit voteohio.gov for the Early Vote schedule and information about voting by mail. Problems on Election Day? Call or text Election Protection at 866-OUR-VOTE.
