Press Release
Deadline to Register to Vote This Monday, Oct. 21
PENNSYLVANIA — Common Cause Pennsylvania is reminding voters that Monday, Oct. 21 is the deadline to register to vote in the 2024 November election. Eligible voters have three ways to register to vote: in person at a local election office, online, and by mail.
Common Cause Pennsylvania is part of the largest, nonpartisan voter protection coalition in the country. Every year, the coalition recruits, trains, and deploys thousands of volunteers across the nation to assist voters, including Pennsylvania. These volunteers serve as voters’ first line of defense against confusing voting rules, rampant misinformation, and needless obstacles to the ballot box.
The election protection coalition also runs the toll-free voter assistance hotline: 866-OUR-VOTE. Voters who encounter any issues can call or text the hotline to be connected to trained, nonpartisan experts who can help.
The nonpartisan voter assistance hotline is available in the following languages:
- ENGLISH: 866-OUR-VOTE / 866-687-8683
- SPANISH: 888-VE-Y-VOTA / 888-839-8682
- ASIAN LANGUAGES: 888-API-VOTE / 888-274-8683
- ARABIC: 844-YALLA-US / 844-925-5287

“Voting is how we hold power accountable from Harrisburg to Washington, DC, but we can’t do that unless we’re registered to vote,” said Philip Hensley-Robin, Common Cause Pennsylvania Executive Director. “This November, voters will not only cast a ballot for U.S. President, but 18 members of Congress, and other state leaders who will make important decisions on our behalf. We are encouraging all eligible voters to join the thousands of those who have already registered to vote.”
Key Registration Deadlines:
- In person at local election office: Oct. 21
- Online: Oct. 21
- By Mail (received by): Oct. 21
