Rhode Islanders should pick their politicians. Politicians shouldn’t pick their voters.

Common Cause Rhode Island has been fighting gerrymandering for as long as we have existed. In the 1990s and 2000s, we helped pry open the door so the public could see how redistricting is done in our state. Now we are fighting for an independent redistricting commission so that maps are drawn to serve the interests of voters, not politicians.
