Tell Governor McKee: Veto the Judicial Magistrate Bill S-2226/H-7271!

This bill, passed by both chambers of the General Assembly, would grant Family Court magistrates the same privileges and responsibilities as judges, but without subjecting them to the same public judicial nominating process. If Family Court magistrates are allowed to conduct trials, they should be chosen in the same manner that Family Court judges are selected – through the public and highly competitive Merit Selection process.
