Senate Intelligence Committee Must Disclose More About Russian Election Attacks

Americans deserve to know more about the Russian attack to sway the 2016 presidential race and Congress owes them some answers. Without undermining the investigation or any intelligence assets, Congress needs to share more of its findings with the American people. To date most of what citizens know about the attacks comes from media reports.

Americans deserve to know more about the Russian attack to sway the 2016 presidential race and Congress owes them some answers. Without undermining the investigation or any intelligence assets, Congress needs to share more of its findings with the American people. To date most of what citizens know about the attacks comes from media reports.

After some early questionable actions by the Senate Intelligence Committee it appears to have made a concerted and bipartisan effort to get to the bottom of the Russian attack. The same cannot be said of their counterparts on the House side. But Americans deserve more answers from their elected officials about this attack on our country by a hostile foreign power, especially at a time when President Trump remains in denial of the Kremlin campaign to help him win the presidency. We should not have to rely on the media alone to keep us out of the dark. Part of putting country before party is letting the country know more about this attack on our democracy.
