Common Cause Texas Calls for Ken Paxton’s Removal from Office

As the Texas Senate begins deliberations in the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Common Cause Texas is calling on senators to act in the best interest of the state and remove Paxton from office.

AUSTIN — As the Texas Senate begins closing arguments before deliberations in Ken Paxton’s impeachment trial, Common Cause Texas is calling on senators to act in the best interest of the state and remove Ken Paxton from office.

The following is statement from Common Cause Texas Executive Director Anthony Gutierrez

“The people of Texas heard indisputable evidence this month of unethical and reprehensible corruption that was spearheaded by Ken Paxton. No Texan should be above the law, least of all the Attorney General who we entrust to be our state’s top law enforcement official.

Common Cause Texas is calling on all Senators to put aside their political calculations and do right by the people of Texas by voting to remove Ken Paxton from office.”
