Artikulo V Kampanya

Today, Common Cause is urging every member of the United States Senate and House of Representatives to support the Freedom to Vote Act (S. 1/H.R.11), a transformational pro-voter, anti-corruption bill, and to oppose the Houseโ€™s anti-voter โ€œAmerican Confidence in Electionsโ€ (ACE) Act. Common Cause is urging every member of the U.S. Senate to vote to begin debate on the Freedom to Vote Act when the Senate considers the legislation later this week.ย  Theย letterโ€ฏemphasizes that already this year, 19 states have enacted 33 restrictive voting laws that make it harder for Americans โ€“ particularly in Black and Brown communities - to have a say in choosing their elected leaders. The letter also notes that Common Cause plans to key-vote this legislation in our Democracy Scorecard, which we send to our 1.5 million members.

Understanding this new threat to our rights. Project 2025 is a dangerous policy playbook being pushed by conservative extremists. It could threaten basic freedoms by gutting checks and balances and consolidating power in the office of the president, like other authoritarian governments.ย
