National experts describe the legal arguments and dangers of the voting rights case scheduled for oral arguments Dec. 7. 

On Thursday, October 27 at 1 p.m. EST, Common Cause and the Southern Coalition for Social Justice will hold a media briefing to discuss the legal arguments and strategy behind the fight to defend our democracy in Moore kiện Harper. The U.S. Supreme Court case, stemming from the legal fight for fair maps in North Carolina, is scheduled for oral arguments on December 7, 2022. Representatives from Common Cause, the legal team at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, and retired federal court Judge J. Michael Luttig, who recently joined Common Cause’s legal team in this major voting rights case, will discuss the legal, historical, and practical arguments underlying our opposition in Moore kiện Harper.
