Our Impact
When Common Cause Wisconsin takes action, we make a real difference for democracy.
With the support of our dedicated members, we have shown up time and time again to protect Wisconsinites’ rights. We will continue to make our government here in Wisconsin more open, honest, and accountable. And help Wisconsin voters to confidently cast their ballot knowing that their vote will be counted.
Check out some of our most impactful actions:
Helping College Students Vote
We provide the state’s only comprehensive, one-stop information site for college and university students on the photo ID requirements. This program was launched in time for the pivotal Supreme Court election in April 2023 which saw record turnout of college and university students. We continue to work to build on that success by continuing to educate, empower, and mobilize young voters across Wisconsin.
Recruiting Election Protection Volunteers
Each election year, Common Cause Wisconsin recruits nonpartisan volunteers across the state to serve as a first line of defense for voters. These volunteers answer voters’ questions at their polling places, make sure that voters know their rights, and report any attempts to intimidate or obstruct voters. This program has helped countless Wisconsinites make themselves heard at the ballot box.
