Pagpaparehistro ng Botante at Gabay sa Photo ID
Photo ID needed to Vote in Wisconsin
In Wisconsin, you will need an acceptable photo ID to be given your ballot.
If you have a Wisconsin Drivers License or State ID Card issued from the WI Department of Motor Vehicles, then you’re all set. Bring this with you when you vote on Election Day or when you vote by absentee ballot.
If you do not have a WI DMV ID product, then you can use an ID from the official list from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. You can find an updated list of acceptable photo ID to vote at Dalhin Ito sa Balota.
How to Register to Vote in Wisconsin
In addition to needing a photo ID, you also need to register to vote. You need to have lived at your current address for at least 28 days by Election Day in order to register to vote in that election district or ward.
If you have a Wisconsin driver license or a Wisconsin DMV-issued ID, then you’re all set. You can register using the state issued number on this ID.
You can still register to vote without a Wisconsin DMV card. There are plenty of documents you can use and many ways to complete your voter registration.
Kung hindi ka pa nakarehistro, may ilang mga paraan na maaari kang magparehistro para bumoto:
Online. Mga karapat-dapat na botante sa Wisconsin na may a wastong lisensya sa pagmamaneho ng Wisconsin o isang ID na ibinigay ng Wisconsin DMV maaaring magrehistro online sa MyVote.WI.gov up to 20 days before the election in which they are planning to vote.
By Mail. Maaari mong simulan ang iyong form sa pagpaparehistro ng botante online sa MyVote.WI.gov – then print, sign and mail it to your municipal clerk along with a proof of residence (POR) document. Your form and POR must be received no later than 20 days before the election in which you are planning to vote.
In your Municipal Clerk’s Office. You can register in-person in your municipal clerk’s office up until the 5pm (or close of business) on the Friday before the election in which you are planning to vote. You’ll need to bring a proof of residence document to complete your registration (this document can be shown electronically. For example, your bank statement from your phone that shows your address).
At the Polls on Election Day. If you’re unable to register by any of the methods above, and decide to forgo early voting, you can still register at the polls on Election Day. You will need to present a proof of residence document when registering (again, this document can be shown electronically). If your driver’s license or state ID card has your current address, that’s all you need.
Save time and hassle. Register to vote ngayon.
And if you have questions or feel overwhelmed by the process, don’t panic. Contact your local municipal clerk and they will help you with any part of the process and answer your questions. Find your clerk here.
